Playful Healing. Meaningful Growth.
Lasting Change.
How I Can Support You
Children (Ages 8+)
Providing a safe, creative space where children can build emotional regulation, confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills through developmentally appropriate therapy.
Teens
Supporting teens through anxiety, depression, identity exploration, school stress, friendships, family changes, self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. Therapy offers a space to feel understood, build coping skills, and navigate growing up with more confidence and self-awareness.
Adults
Supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, neurodivergence, life transitions, and personal growth. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re experiencing, build practical tools, and create meaningful change that feels authentic to you.

Meet Nathalie Castro
I believe healing starts when you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are. You do not need to have the right words, know where to start, or have everything figured out before coming to therapy. You just need to come as you are.
My approach to therapy is warm, honest, collaborative, and very human. I am not here to sit across from you with a clipboard and make you feel like you are being analyzed. I want to understand you, your story, what you have been through, what is happening in your life right now, and what you need in order to move forward. Sometimes that means learning new skills. Sometimes it means making sense of things you have carried for years. And sometimes you simply need someone who is willing to sit with you in the hard stuff without judging you or trying to rush you out of it. I work with children ages 8 and older, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, complex PTSD, suicidal thoughts, life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent clients and people who have spent a lot of their lives feeling misunderstood, different, too much, or like they needed to change themselves to fit into the world around them. Therapy with me can be serious when it needs to be, but there is also room for humor, creativity, curiosity, and play. I will celebrate the wins with you, sit beside you through the painful moments, and challenge you when I believe you are ready for it. We will figure out what actually works for you instead of trying to force you into somebody else's idea of what healing is supposed to look like.
Outside of the therapy room, I am a real person with a lot of interests and probably too many hobbies. I love hiking Colorado trails, snowboarding, dancing, camping, baking, video games, and pretty much every genre of music. I am also a proud pet parent to a cat and a dog, and they are a pretty good reminder that connection, play, comfort, and occasionally doing absolutely nothing can be good for us too.
I created Playful Healing Project because I wanted to create the kind of space I wish existed when I was younger. A place where you do not have to hide the complicated, messy, different, awkward, funny, painful, or wonderful parts of yourself in order to belong. You are allowed to take up space here. You are allowed to be a work in progress. And you do not have to figure it all out alone. We will figure it out together.
